I specialize in helping others complete their goals through an empathetic, culturally competent, trauma-informed, client-centered, strength-based approach. My clinical orientation draws upon various theoretical methods and techniques from EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, Family Systems, Integrated Behavioral Couples Therapy, and Equine Assisted Therapy (EAGALA). Through and through I am a trauma therapist! I have worked with everyone from adults to young children. As a leader, I lead by putting my team and the members we serve first. I value teaching others. I have spent years as a site supervisor, supervised many therapists, and finally, as the Clinical Director for SonderCare Behavioral Health. 

Everyone has the strength to overcome life’s obstacles; there is nothing wrong with needing help. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey to wellness. 

I have been employed in the behavioral health field for the past 20 years and have had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Az State University with a Concentration in Direct Practice and currently maintain independent licensure through the Az Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.  
In December of 2021, I joined the SonderCare team and provide both individual and couples therapy in addition to facilitating the Women’s Trauma Group and Hoarding Group. While working with clients, I implement a collaborative approach in order to establish treatment goals and ensure a productive outcome.

I knew I wanted to work in the Behavioral and Mental Health realm from a very young age. My personal life experience was the reference point for my journey and vision. Because of such I chose to study counseling for addiction and I now practice in that arena.  I have acquired the skill base and knowledge that I believe is helpful to others who suffer on a daily basis from addiction or personal traumas. 
I thoroughly enjoy what I do to help others in therapy; I appreciate the relationships this specialty allows me to build.

I have worked in the mental health field for 39 years, specifically with juvenile justice involved youth and their families. After 36 years in California, I recently relocated back to Tucson, AZ. Throughout my career I have provided mental health services and directed group, individual, and family treatment. In addition, I have directed specialty services working with sexually abused and abusive youth, substance abuse treatment, and have created ally/defender programming designed to reduce sexual exploitation. I joined the SonderCare team in May 2023 and provide individual and couples counseling in addition to facilitating Obsessive Compulsive group weekly. I pride myself on being trauma informed, organized, flexible, caring, culturally sensitive, and attuned to others.
