SonderCare BHS is dedicated to providing quality outpatient therapeutic adult skills training services. Planned programming includes mindfulness exercises, substance abuse education, activities of daily living, emotional regulation, healthy eating and exercise, social engagement and appropriate communication skills. Members are also provided art and music class and engage in positive community activities. SonderCare empowers individuals to engage and enjoy planned group activities while receiving mental health services. Our goal is to focus on enriching individuals’ lives by building upon their strengths.
Sondercare BHS uses an integrative treatment approach to treat difficult issues by establishing a safe and therapeutic working environment. Our therapeutic groups are designed to engage patients in their treatment by teaching safe and effective coping skills and restoring self-care and respect. Our highly qualified therapists are attentive to the emotional pain that brings individual’s into treatment and are dedicated to reducing that pain to improve their overall quality of life.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The evidence-based curriculum used include Living In Balance Program (LIB) as a comprehensive and practical guide for conducting group treatment sessions for persons who have a substance use disorder. Members diagnosis may or may not include co-occurring disorder such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD. The LIB curriculum will be used as a component in an eclectic approach to treating co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders in combination with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and additional evidence-based practices.
