What is Behavioral Health?

Behavioral health refers to the promotion of mental health, resilience, and well-being. It embraces the connection between behaviors and the health and well-being of the body, mind, and spirit. It includes the treatment of mental and substance use disorders and includes the support of those who are in recovery from these conditions, as well as their families and communities. It encompasses prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery support services.

What treatments are offered for mental health concerns at SonderCare BHS?

SonderCare BHS offers individual therapy services to address multiple issues including, but not limited to Trauma/PTSD, Substance Abuse and Relapse Prevention, Healthy Relationships, Parenting, Anger Management, Depression, Anxiety, and Grief & Loss.

Our Intensive Outpatient Programs include Substance Abuse and Relapse Prevention, Men’s Trauma, Women’s Trauma, and CBT for Hoarding. SonderCare BHS offers a unique therapeutic adult daycare program Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Therapeutic groups and activities include: Trauma, Substance Use, Healthy Relationships, Independent Living Skills, Anger Management, Art and Music activities, increasing coping skills and mindfulness meditation techniques.

Is my mental health care confidential?

SonderCare BHS complies with state and federal rules and regulations regarding patient confidentiality which will be discussed once treatment starts.

Who will be providing treatment?

There are many types of mental health care professionals. Licensed clinical professionals provide assessments, diagnoses and therapy. Highly trained behavioral health technicians supervised by our licensed therapist will provide therapeutic services.

What will happen when I arrive?

When you visit our clinic, reception staff are available to guide you through the initial intake process.

How do I know if my insurance will cover mental health treatment?

The best way to find out is to contact your insurance company. You can find the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. In addition, you may contact our intake department for additional guidance at 520-284-7949.

Does SonderCare have a sliding scale fee?

Yes. The payment amount is dependent upon a member’s income.

What precautions are being taken to prevent the spread of communicable diseases?

Our clients come first. These are the COVID-19 precautions we are taking: Your temperature will be checked upon arrival and you will be asked to complete a questionnaire. We are following socially distancing measures. Face masks are mandatory for both staff and members.
